LDAP returned the error [32] Insufficient Rights when importing the transaction
Good morning,Box 1: Exchange Server 2003 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2Box 2: Domain controller Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2Both are virtual servers using VMware Server 2I keep receiving this error in Event viewer on my Exchange Server, even after a fresh install ( Removeorg, ensure that everthing is clean, then forestprep, domainprep etc..)MSExchnageAl - 8270LDAP returned the error [32] Insufficient Rights when importing the transactiondn: <GUID=E519F81C99DF2A478F51B15C7C2374A9>changetype: Modify ...I did read and validate all 4 scenarios in the KB254030 unsuccessfully and many more topic on the question...I acheive to fix my problem by giving "Full control" permission at the domain level to the group "Exchange Enterprise Server" on the Special permission apply to "User object"( Right click domain name on ADUC - Properties - Security - Advanced - edit the entry "Exchange Enterprise Servers, Special permission, apply to user object" to set to Full control)This permit to RUS to update the info of the user I was trying attach to a mailbox (all user have the same problem, and no they are not member of admins groups). My question is: What are the specific permissions that are missing when fresh installing Exchange 2k3 on my environement so RUS works properly? I don't want to set Full Control over user object to the group Exchange Enterprise Servers for obvious security reasons. Is there a patch for this issue? What could cause this issue since my domain in pretty clean and the exchange setup aswell? Thanks in advance!!Luc
